Abstract

PT. Kalbe Farma Tbk. adalah perusahaan farmasi yang salah satu produknya adalah CBPC1 atau obat luka bakar. Waktu penimbangan CBPC1 mengalami keterlambatan karena keterlambatan salah satu bahan bakunya yaitu glycerin. Waktu penimbangan glycerin yang terjadi sekitar 2,7 kali lipat dari standar waktunya. Alat bantu yang digunakan untuk penimbangan glycerin belum efisien. Untuk itu dilakukan penelitian yang bertujuan menentukan rancangan alat bantu penimbangan glycerin yang bisa menurunkan waktunya dengan metode Value Engineering. Hasil penelitian menunujukkan bahwa rancangan alat bantu dapat menurunkan waktu penimbangan sebesar 85% dan juga menurunkan biaya penimbangan per tahun sebesar 85%.
