Abstract

One way to become a market leader is to have employees who have
high abilities and are loyal to the organization where they work. This requires
cooperation between employees, management, and company owners. This
cooperation can occur if each party has a strong commitment to the
organization. Strengthening organizational commitment can be done by
developing factors that have a role in organizational commitment. The purpose
of this study was to determine the effect of career development and employee
professionalism on organizational commitment. This quantitative research was
conducted at CV Anugerah Sidoarjo with a sample of 66 respondents. The study
used data then processed using SPSS with regression analysis. The results
showed that career development has a significant influence on the formation of
organizational commitment. In addition, organizational commitment is also
influenced by the professionalism of employees. Together, career development
and professionalism have a significant influence on organizational commitment.
